Lawani (Aani)
Lawani, popularly called Aani, hails from Okesi. Following his marriage to Princess Adebinke, he relocated to Eminefo palace, as was the custom in those days. A princess remained in the palace even after marriage unless she chooses otherwise, while the husband had the option of joining her in the palace or be ready to perform his obligation from his own home. He was a strong and virile man, warrior-like and full of wisdom. He was a real traditionalist who knew a lot about the culture and custom of the palace and Ogori as a whole. In fact he could be considered as one of the custodians of the tradition. Aani often spoke in proverbs and could also narrate many events that happened in the past.
He acquired a large farm in Eminefo land at Uten and was largely a successful farmer. He had three children, namely Remilekun, Baboye and Ilesanmi. His home was always bubbling with activities as it housed a few families who were directly related to Adebinke. Among such were the militant Oba and his brothers, Ogbofa and Fakorede.
